Over a year of mentored learning, Nassif will create a new body of work for her first solo show engaging the public in tracing buried city waterways and creating a series of indigo dyed weavings exploring the themeāundercurrents.

Produce a new body of work for first solo show, develop social practice gallery techniques via mentorship, add woodworking/sculpture to art practice. I'll develop effective ways to bring my social practice art in into the gallery context. I will be able to work with wood and basic tools by myself. Public response and direct feedback from my mentor and critique cohort will evaluate success of show. 2: Minnesotans will learn about the metro Mississippi watershed and participate in collaborative hands-on weaving, spinning and dyeing. Public walks and textile workshops will be documented by photography and video for later review. Success will be evaluated by attendance counts, the collaboratively made fiber artwork outcome, and direct verbal or written feedback from participants.

The artist expanded her skills and art practice to include new techniques and produce her first solo show. The artist learned from mentors and took notes, tried different social engagement modes and collected verbal feedback at events. 2: Minnesotans learned about the metro Mississippi watershed and participated in hands-on weaving, spinning and dyeing and social connection events. Counted number of participant. Collected anecdotes verbal, via email and in photos. The materials produced by participants showed their learning and engagement with the art.
