ACHF Arts Access
Create new pieces and finish the project Tumulus, which will offer a contemporary view of the Iron Range and its complexities. Through the discussion and questions that come up during artists talks at exhibitions around the state. Also, through eventual publication the work will be accessible to a much larger audience statewide. 2: I will add to my practice by finishing a large-scale body of photographic work, which will enhance my capture, editing, printing, and framing. The time and resources allowed by this grant will give the chance to finish this project by adding twenty exhibition-ready photographs and having mock-ups of a book made for future publication.
I created new pieces but did not finish the project Tumulus. I have had discussions while showing the work and am working towards publication, but have realized that the work needs more to it before it is finished. 2: Continuing to finish the goal of finishing the project. While I have had time, I realized that the work needs even more work, which I am beginning to undertake this summer. Editing the work made me realize that it is not quite ready to seek publication.
