"Musicians in Motion at Mia", a new composition by Miller of pieces for chamber ensemble inspired by works of art at Mia will be presented at Mia as part of one of its Family Days and a Third Thursday.

Musicians in Motion at Mia,' will be presented at Mia (Minneapolis Institute of Art) in conjunction with Family Day and Third Thursday. The audiences will be given a brief survey to explore their reactions to the pairings of music and art works, and whether they found their experience was deepened by the combination of art and music. 2: Musicians in Motion at Mia,' a set of pieces responding to visual art works at Mia will be composed for a chamber ensemble. The composer will complete a set of pieces that explore the tone colors available in the ensemble that best relate to the chosen art works while fitting the gallery spaces.
Musicians in Motion at Mia' was presented at Mia on 4/24/22. The pieces were presented at the Mia website a year before the live performance. The audience was given access to a brief demographic survey and they were also asked to send the composer personal comments about the event. 2: The composer completed a total of nine pieces which were performed 4.24.22. Seven of the pieces also appeared at the Mia website. The composer completed nine pieces that were presented next to the art works that inspired them. The pieces at the website were linked with images of the art works. Audience members indicated that their experience of the art was deepened by the music.
