Project Details

Menninga will create an installation in the format of an eighteenth-century period room addressing issues of racism, resistance, complicity, and responsibility across generations.

The artist will develop skills in engaging with diverse audiences, both in content and publicity. The artist will document efforts to publicize events to diverse audiences, record attendance demographics and discuss content with diverse attendees. 2: The artist will improve skills in communicating artistic concepts and intent to audiences. The artist will collect critical feedback on wall text and other documentation supplemental to the art. The artist will develop and present a public lecture.
