Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Will compose for string quartet and larger ensembles so as to blend musical styles and engage new audiences with new music. The outcome envisions mixing professional and student musicians as well as fans of classical and Latin music. Audience and performer feedback will help evaluate if a fluid artistic expression was achieved and new connections were made. 2: By composing new works for string quartet, orchestra, and Latin ensemble, Little will improve his abilities as a composer, arranger, and performer. Performer and listener feedback on comment cards and online surveys will help evaluate where the works were successful and where skills can be improved. Little will also self-evaluate by referencing pre-grant work and the new music created.

Measurable Outcome(s)

New work was written for string quartet and Latin ensemble. Feedback was gathered from audience and performing musicians. 2: Artist definitely improved skill as composer. There was an evaluation of the work by the artist, performers, and audience.
