Lemke will create and exhibit Deconstructed Paradise, an installation of sculpture using digital fabrication to explore suburban sprawl. The exhibit and artist talk will be held at a gallery in central Minnesota.

Through the gift of studio time and equipment, the artist will exhibit an installation of sculpture reflecting themes of sprawl in Central Minnesota. The artist will successfully complete and publicly exhibit a series of digitally-sourced landscape sculptures and 3D printed objects. In addition, he will discuss the research that informs his work at the opening reception. 2: The artist will engage rural and suburban communities in Central Minnesota to further the participation of a group underserved by contemporary art. Evidence of engagement will be evaluated through the successful staging of an exhibit in Central Minnesota, assessing responses to the artist talk from visitors, monitoring gallery attendance, and providing an informational handout about the show.
The artist completed and virtually exhibited seventeen digitally-sourced landscape sculptures and 50+ CNC plasma-cut objects. He shared and discussed his res. Funding for studio time led to the creation of detailed landscape sculptures populated with maps of suburban housing developments. Through presenting online, the artist received feedback from indigenous communities and other diverse populations. 2: An online exhibition and artist presentation was staged during the grant period with a focus on rural/suburban/exurban communities in particular. The artist shared work during a public online presentation on Facebook Live. The artist was featured in online exhibits through the Rural Midwest Artist Collective and others, and networked with Minnesota audiences through Q and A and mentorship.
