Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

I will strengthen craft skills and hone a personal aesthetic while working to complete a draft of my first novel. I will create and follow a daily word count schedule that is tailored to the completion of a draft. I will also keep track of the new craft techniques I employ in my writing, and will review my work with an eye for aesthetic strength and consistency. 2: By leading a public workshop, I will develop teaching and speaking skills, add to Minnesota's literary community, and foster interest in the arts. I will track workshop attendance. After the event, I will distribute surveys intended to (a) gauge the impact on each participants' relationship with writing; and (b) provide feedback on my teaching and speaking abilities.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Anessa Ibrahim reimagined her novel-length project, generated new content, and revised her work substantially. Anessa Ibrahim wrote approximately 115 new pages, polished existing pages, and developed a new direction for moving forward. 2: Anessa Ibrahim hosted a virtual workshop on the theme of belonging. Anessa Ibrahim hosted an online event for five participants, during which she led a discussion on narrative depictions of belonging, isolation, and moving across cultures.
