Hejny will become certified in forest therapy and apply the scientific impact of stress reduction in nature to create a new body of artwork. She will host an artist talk and plan for future community engagement with youth.

I will develop a new body of artwork that reflects the scientific benefits of healing through nature with my new skills in Forest Therapy. Successful outcomes evaluated through the completion of these drawings and paintings, professional documentation of the body of work and a public exhibition. 2: Once certified in Forest Therapy, I will host a public artist talk and a nature workshop for youth to reduce stress and create intuitive art. Evaluated by the completion of a six-month certification program, public artist talk, and a workshop for Twin Cities youth. Workshop participants will complete a survey on their experience with forest therapy for stress-reduction and creativity.
Hejny developed a new body of artwork that reflects her connection with nature, inspired by her work as a Forest Therapy Guide. Evaluated by the completion of drawings and paintings and professional documentation. 2: Hejny hosted a Forest Bathing walk and art-making experience for adults to connect with nature play with intuitive expression. Evaluated by the completion of a six-month certification program and a Forest Bathing walk for adults. Forest Bathing participants completed a verbal survey about their experience with the event.
