Project Details

Gottschalk will edit an anthology of Minnesota women's stories of recovery and host two writing workshops for women in all stages of recovery.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

To edit an anthology of Minnesota women's stories of recovery. Through a call for submission and personal invitation, I will select and work with 10-15 Minnesota women on their stories of recovery. I will work with mentor Sun Yun Shin to track my progress. 2: To host two writing workshops for women in recovery. I will track attendance at each workshop and invite participants to complete a brief qualitative survey afterwards.

Began work on anthology of Minnesota women's stories of recovery. Created call for submission. Met with Sun Yun Shin. Gathered feedback on call. Researched memoirs and anthologies. Connected w. interested contributors. Extended invitations to three local writers. Arranged for additional mentorship and networking opps. 2: Hosted an in person workshop and a virtual writing exercise/workshop. Workshop one: Participants completed a brief survey Workshop two: Participants explored topics from call to submission, answering question, how did you do it?.
