Artist Initiative
Erin will create willows/thresholds, an architectural environment of sixteen-millimeter film of willow trees in Minnesota. The installation and events will raise awareness of trees as ecosystems and cultural sites of memory.

ACHF Arts Access
Minnesota artists develop and use skills for engaging with audiences of communities. I will engage and connect people with an awareness of the phenomena of the natural world and the deep cultural perspectives that forests symbolize. I will host creative community participation with free public events. 2: Minnesota artists develop their artistic practice. I will advance my research based art practice in order to connect the community to art, creativity, the environment, and to each other. I will create an architectural film environment, enhancing my filmmaking and carpentry skills.
Artist developed skills in filmmaking, writing, and publishing to engage the public with the natural world. Over 50 people took the free self-published zine with tutorials, writing, and poetry about willow trees. 30 people attended the opening night of the installation. Received positive feedback about project. 2: Minnesota artists develop their artistic practice. I advanced my filmmaking skills, learning 16mm film. I expanded my research and writing, creating a self-published zine. I expanded my carpentry skills by making a box for the zines outside of the gallery.
