I will workshop an immersive performance in collaboration with UROC in North Minneapolis to refine and expand my community-centered practice. I will have regular check-ins with advisors Hawona Sullivan Janzen, Gallery Curator and Special Projects Coordinator at UROC, and Harry Waters Jr, Macalester Professor and community artist, to track progress through the process. 2: I will unearth stories of resilience and inequity in underrepresented communities in Minneapolis using creative facilitation and devising techniques. I will work with my advisors to develop a community centered reflection and evaluation process as part of the conversations in each workshop.
I expanded my development process onto digital platforms and workshopped a two new performance texts. I had regular check-ins with Harry Waters Jr, who directed the main workshop via Zoom. 2: I created two new texts concerning resilience and inequity of Black people in the US. I worked with Harry Waters Jr. to engage participants in conversation, reflection, and evaluation of the material presented at each workshop.
