Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

The project will allow me to conceptualize a solo exhibition plan. Getting feedback as I proceed will enable me to gain an understanding of how to best present my work to the public. As I work I will show my planned edit and sequence of images to curators who are advising me on this project. In addition to their ongoing feedback, I will organize an artist talk and Q and A during an exhibition and book launch event to get feedback from my audience. A panel discussion will follow at a later date. 2: I will organize an exhibition in conjunction with a book launch event and panel discussion. The exhibition will be held at the Traffic Zone Center for Visual Art. In addition to the artist talk I will plan a panel discussion with project participants and community experts to explore the ideas the project raises. I will use social media, email, and direct mailings to build an audience for the events, and I will provide a count of the number of people who attend.

Measurable Outcome(s)

I was able to present this work to several curators and my gallerist for feedback. In addition, grant support enabled me to work with William A. Ewing who curated a traveling exhibition of the proposed project. The traveling exhibition will be administered by the Foundation for the Exhibition of Photography which is based in Minneapolis, Paris, and Lausanne. 2: An exhibition of photographs from the project were exhibited during two open studio events at Traffic Zone Center for Visual Arts in Minneapolis. An estimated 600 visitors saw the work.
