Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Promotion of my book will raise my profile as a Minnesota writer, and devoting time to writing my next book contributes to my career development. Promotion: A working website that allows interaction with readers via social media, and I've mailed my promotional material and am interacting with booksellers: success. Writing: if I am further along than I would've been without the grant: success. 2: A reading either at the Loft, Micawbers, or Bryant Lake Bowl, before which I will host discussion on craft open to anyone in the writing community. If the reading took place, and it was preceded by a craft discussion attended by ten or more people, then it would be considered a success.

Measurable Outcome(s)

I built and managed a website for my work, which has allowed me to promote my work to a larger audience and become fluent in social media. 2: My book, The Peripatetic Coffin, was a local best-seller (Magers and Quinn) and is a finalist for the Minnesota Book Award. I have been an active participant in the literary community for years, and gave three major readings / presentations of my work during the grant period. Over 200 Minnesotans attended, many more have read my work.
