Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Enrich my studio practice and cultivate new skill sets in video editing. Develop a focused body of work. Successful use of new skill sets learned through video editing workshops in creating video components of mixed media pieces. Research and development of a body of work from which I will select works for inclusion in a two person exhibition. 2: Work created during the grant period will be shared with various art and non-art communities via exhibition, presentations, and gallery talks. I will create outreach opportunities for the community through invitations to gallery talks during the run of the Rosalux Gallery exhibition and through honoring invitations to present on my work to various academic and non-academic communities.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Studied casting techniques for mixed media sculptural work. Studied and practiced various video and sound editing techniques for mixed media video work. Purchased supplies for experimentation and practice in mixed media and painting work. Was able to create a body of work using this new knowledge for exhibition in three locations during the grant period. 2: In addition to the opening reception at Rosalux Gallery, I hosted three additional events in the gallery during the run of the exhibition; a meeting with a critique group of Minnesota artists, a meeting with painting students from College of Saint Bens/Saint John's University, and a public talk and Q and A moderated by designer and artist Teri Kwant. At both Ridgewater Galleries I gave a gallery talk to students from various classes.
