Artist Initiative
ACHF Arts Access
More Minnesotans are able to engage in or with the work of Minnesota artists.
I taught workshops in 12 nonprofit organizations to 177 participants both novice and advanced writers from ages 14- 76. There were two ways that participants could find workshops: through the sponsoring organization or through public announcements. The sponsoring organizations listed it in their brochures and on their websites, posted notices or informed individual clients. I distributed 250 postcards, emailed friends, created events on Facebook, had an ad on Minnesota Women’s press, received media publicity and posted on community calendars. I attracted 10,000 hits to my website as reported on my statistics page; I had 80 “likes” on a Facebook page specifically for the grant's progress. I used written evaluations from participants as well as emails from program directors. I interviewed a couple of program directors. Some wanted to hire me to come back and requested funds from budget meetings.
