Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

I will use the imagery, sketches, photographs, and notes from the experiences and observations on Lake Superior to design and develop five new furniture pieces. Apart from actually completing the pieces, peer reviews and public feedback at galleries and shows help assess success. 2: After completion of the new work, I plan to exhibit it at galleries in Grand Marais, Ely, Duluth, Grand Rapids, and Minneapolis. Survey and total attendance at events. Monitor web traffic.

Measurable Outcome(s)

I spent time paddling at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. I designed and built four new pieces. My idea of using photography as a path to aid with both the inspiration for and then the design process was successful. 2: 1. I showed work four different times with a comprehensive show of the work at Kess Gallery in Ely. 2. I gave a presentation to an Ely group that meets regularly on Tuesdays at lunch. 3. There was an article in a local newspaper Ely Echo. 4. A short radio interview to promote the opening of the show.
