Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Increase my ability to manipulate new materials, improve my skills, and increase my ability to problem-solve with new ideas and new materials in the future. Every new project, especially with an unfamiliar material, is a learning experience. 2: Franklin Art Works is a well-known and well respected exhibition space for local and national contemporary artists and free and open to the public. Tim Peterson, the director of Franklin Artworks, states that 1500 people attend each of their 2 month long exhibitions.

Measurable Outcome(s)

There are technical challenges in this work. Building essentially an aquarium within an aquarium and making both airtight has been a challenge. Getting smoke to, safely, do what you want it to has been a challenge as well. This work has enabled me to reach outside of a comfortable skill level and realize new challenges. 2: Franconia Sculpture Park is an exciting, respected, vibrant member of the arts in Minnesota. Their relatively new gallery space in Northeast Minneapolis is free and open to the public. This semi-raw space is the ideal venue to experience being surrounded by smoke. There is a presentation scheduled prior to the opening of the exhibition. It is free and open to the public. At which, I will present the work and answer questions from the audience.
