Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

I will further my artistic abilities by exploring new ideas about extra literary forms as I finish the manuscript for my third book of poetry. By the end of Feb 2014, I will submit this manuscript to Coffee House Press (who has first publication rights). This deadline will give me a firm and clear goal to accomplish. 2: I will hold 2-4 community poetry events for Minnesotan populations who traditionally have less access to arts (e.g., individuals at a prison, a park community center, etc.). I will document these events (with photographs, video, and/or sound recording) and I will verify how many people attended and participated in the events.

Measurable Outcome(s)

I developed my artistic abilities by finishing the manuscript for my 3rd book of poetry, titled Safe Houses I Have Known. This manuscript is made up of poems that appropriate various extraliterary forms. I have sent this manuscript off to be considered for publication. 2: I conducted five poetry workshops for Minnesota populations who traditionally have less access to the arts. These workshops were held at the Hennepin County Home School, a residential facility for youth offenders in Minnetonka, Minnesota. A total of 62 students participated.
