This project is giving me a deeper sense of my abilities. This project is giving a direction for my work. As each new idea presents itself, I become more aware of my own growth. I am growing with appreciation for the subjects that I choose to be a part of this Exhibition. My belief in humanity is also growing. Learning about all of these different leaders is giving me more hope and fulfillment. My skills are becoming sharper. My attitude is becoming more directed. I am finding a true purpose within my art. Sharing the work with others and feeling that people enjoy the work is indescribable. This feeling makes me want to be a much better artist. I plan to use Facebook Live weekly, possibly daily. Facebook Live will serve as a journal to record my progress throughout the year. There will be ups and downs-all recorded. This will serve as the truth about my personal journey. I will be inviting many artistic peers, my mentors, members of asdicircle.org, members of Cultural Diversity Council UMNRV, Granite Falls Art Gallery, Native American Tribal Councils and the general public to view my exhibit. People will be able to fill out surveys in order to express their personal opinions. Feedback is very important to me.
I learned a lot about myself through this journey. I am also learning to trust some of my lines and see more depth in my work. I had to make many adjustments due to all of the mental health challenges I faced, but I used that in my work and also with others that I have shared my work with. Sharing how diversity is important really helped me with the direction I would like to go with my art. Learning about all of the people in my project also opened my eyes to many things that others have had to do to be heard and understood for who they are. With my professional growth, it has given me more contact with other artists and a wider audience base. I am now starting to work with artists and galleries in other states.
