This project will make a new composition available to local musicians and to regional ensembles and conductors.My primary goal is to deepen and expand my capacity to compose and arrange for choir and orchestra and also for smaller ensembles.
Measurable Outcome(s)
I wrote both the music and lyrics for Earth Tones. I shared the work-in-progress with five conductor-composers, then made final revisions arranging the piece for SATB choir, winds, strings and brass. I rehearsed with local musicians and made further revisions to accommodate their abilities.
