Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Create eight Duluth themed prints (multi sizes 4" x 6" to 9" x 12") with a focus on both Duluth's industry and natural spaces. I hope to capture moments where the two collide as well. Develop a mentor relationship to help me with the business side of art and create a marketing plan for my prints. Visit three print studios (I'd like to visit Betsy Bowen in Grand Marais, MN, Nick Wrobleski, in Duluth, MN, and another printmaker's studio yet to be determined). Explore Duluth with family, capturing images for prints with my camera with a focus on industry and natural spaces along Lake Superior. Apply to five different shops to carry my prints. Be in at least one holiday craft show (most likely Chester's Fall Festival). Experiment with new linocut techniques, specifically using multiple blocks in one print. I'll evaluate my success by: * Counting the number of Duluth themed prints *Meeting with my mentor at established times and getting a letter from my mentor indicating I've met with them *Counting the number of studios I visit *Counting the number of smiles I capture with my camera from my children in Duluth. *Getting my prints into one local shop *Be a participant in a holiday craft show *At least one of my new prints will have used multiple blocks for one image. *Art business plan will be developed in consultation with my art mentor.
