The tangible goal of this activity is to be completely prepared to move into production on the film, LOVSET'S MANOEUVRE, by October 2023. By the end of this period, I will have the script completed, the actors attached to the project, the locations locked in, the community's support, and the crew prepared to shoot. I will have a live reading of excerpts from the screenplay for the community, to bolster the feeling of participation I have already cultivated in the months leading up to October, and to receive feedback on the script. Filmmaking is truly a collaborative and communal effort, and my goal is that the community of Hibbing feels invested in and excited about the film production. I will have contracts with the actors, crew, and locations secured. I will have agreements for in-kind donations and discounts from local businesses for catering, cast/crew accommodations, and set design supplies. There will be a strong turnout (50-100 people) for the live reading, and a question-and-answer session will provide feedback on the project from the community.
