ACHF Arts Access
For this first set of videos I will be creating 6 to 8 videos, and one multi-episode workshop. My goal is to release several new videos quarterly and one or two multi-episode workshops each year. One hoped for outcome is to secure 10 subscriptions for the first workshop series. I also hope to continue to build subscriptions for my website videos (and increase my community on social media) through cross promotion of these videos on my website and my social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook and TikTok). In my studio work I already create hundreds of hours of process video each year - much of that I do not use or share on my social media platforms. Another hoped for outcome is that I will make better use of that process video by converting it to be content for the instructional videos. A final hoped for outcome is to use these videos as examples to show local arts centers and institutions in order to book an in-person workshop that I will facilitate in 2025. By the numbers, I will know I have been successful if I can secure 10 subscriptions for the first workshop series, and about as many subscriptions for the the 4 stand alone videos (part of the 6 to 8 videos, mentioned above, at least 2 of those videos will be free of charge) by the end of 2024. That would give me a good six months to generate interest from the time of the videos release on or before 6/30/24. These will be real numbers that I can build future subscriptions on. Further I will know if I am generating interest/achieving success if I see my social media and website analytics (page views, comments, social media follows and so on) significantly increase around the time that the videos are promoted through online ads, and posts and emails to collectors/followers. Scheduling a workshop that I will facilitate with a local arts center would also be a sign of success. From a community/ interpersonal perspective, I will know if I'm successful from the feedback of the people who watch/subscribe to the videos. I will be in contact with these folks, following up on questions they have from the videos and asking for feedback about how the videos and workshops can be improved. I will also be running these videos by artist colleagues and accessibility advocates prior to releasing them on the website, for feedback as to the videos' clarity/functionality, so that I have a good idea as to whether a video will be easy to access and understand before I release it to the public.
