With the videos for Adjusting and ZAZ, I hope to be able to take the time to create a visual documentation of each work that is a showcase of the music itself, and an artistically engaging way to show the work. Pragmatically, videos are an essential way to share music in 2022, and taking time to thoroughly plan, shoot, and edit a video is an important part of the lifespan of making and sharing new work with the world. Through making the two videos, as much as having the final product, I hope to gain skills as a videographer that can confidently and creatively document work on my own, and in turn, someday to be able to help other artists realize their visions for their own work. In a utilitarian sense, success with music related video content can be measured by the usual metrics - view counts, shares, peer feedback, etc. However, releasing content, especially content that features your body and face doing something very personal, is a difficult thing to do. I only release things out into the world when I feel comfortable sharing that vulnerability - and the only way to get to that headspace is to carefully, and thoughtfully craft the work itself. The greatest measure of success will be the fact that the finished product is out in the world.
