My goal is for "Honest Americana" to be accepted into more area galleries (The Tweed in Duluth, The Macrostie in Grand Rapids, Franklin Arts and/or Crossing Arts Centers in Brainerd, and Jaques Art Center in Aitken) and featured. Because I am so new on the scene, my objective is to network with locals, curators, and other artists, establishing myself as an active member of this community. Success in my show will be achieved by coming in on budget with the right frames, receiving feedback from a curator, gaining audience affinity through artist reception, and requesting audience opinions, reviews, and questions be placed in a drop box (with the approval of the venue). A combination of these measures will provide the best answer to determine the success of Honest Americana.
