The portfolio which I have concentrated on throughout the last two years has been varied in mediums and styles; and until recently I have been largely experimental. By committing to a featured show with multiple pieces, I will create a more cohesive story with shared palettes that will be identifiable by the nature of their similarities. My standard art process typically follows moods that direct the outcome of works, rendering it difficult to pair any two pieces together. The desired outcome for the Goblin's Christmas Carol is to have a strong theme that can work as a group. In staying with that outcome, I'll be closer to achieving a continuous style that I can expand on through other themes. This will be useful for a later goal that I can achieve, by having multiple pieces in a story publication. Rather than only focusing on the strength of a stand alone illustration. Upon completing this short illustrated representation of A Goblin's Christmas Carol, I will have a series of cohesive works in the medium that I have been aiming to master for some time. Many of my ideas prior to the past year had been sketches and one off illustrations. The sketches were initially plans that never were completed as paintings. I'll know that I have been successful with this project when I can see clearly that I can in fact finish a number of works in the same style and theme, and have a better representation of my style that I have been considering embarking on for some time.
