This upcoming year my goals are to prepare for the Level 3 Minnesota Music Teachers Association Comprehensive Piano Exam, prepare and perform in the National Federation of Music Clubs Piano Solo Festival where I would memorize and perform two piano solos, perform and compete in the Minnesota Music Teachers Association State Piano Solo Festival. I will also perform in my studio's two recitals. I will play in two ensembles (duets or trios) for the Minnesota Music Teachers Association Ensemble Festival in November. This year my goal is to improve on my abilities of preparing my repertoire for competition and learn additional skills to manage performance anxiety. My hearing will affect my playing a bit, but I will learn to manage this new challenge in my life as well as I can. I will be taking my Level 3 MMTA Comprehensive Piano Exam, and I hope to earn a High Distinction or a Distinction rating. I will perform as part of two ensembles (either duet or trio) where I will continue to improve on ensemble playing skills especially listening for the melody and making sure we stay together as an ensemble. I will prepare and perform in the NFMC Festival in the Piano Solo Elementary I. I will prepare and perform in the MMTA State Piano Solo Festival in the Junior B level. I will prepare and perform in my studio's two recitals held during the school year. I will collaborate with my teacher to work on techniques in memorization and in person performance. I will explore new repertoire and continue to increase my abilities on the piano.
Paityn continues to progress in her skills in piano. She has to continue to adjust to decreasing hearing abilities. This challenge continues to affect her playing but she and her piano teacher continue to find ways to manage, especially when she needs to
