If I am able to work with Michele, I think she can teach me advanced techniques and expand on my basic knowledge specifically in watercolor. I would expect that I would be able to see a growing improvement on my work as lessons continued. Different artists are better at certain things, so having the chance to work with multiple artists with a range of strengths and weaknesses will help me grow as an artist. If given this opportunity, I hope to grow by accepting my mistakes as opportunities to learn. I am also trying to learn how to sketch and plan out artwork but be okay with letting it deviate from my original plan. I would like to bring out my current examples of finished artwork to Michele's studio. I would like to ask her for constructive criticism and have her point out my strengths and areas I can improve on. After completing lessons with her, I would like to compare both my previous artwork and any paintings I finish while working with her. If possible, it would be nice to have a variety of finished paintings with her.
I feel like I learned a lot more about pottery through this experience, and I improved my skills. I'm very thankful to have had this opportunity. I ended up saving 7 vessels. I learned how to center the clay. I also learned how to trim the foot and glaze my pots. I grew as an artist how to shape and mold the clay into clay pots. I'm very interested in pottery and this experience was the best way for me to get more time doing actual vessels.
