8: "Regional residents learn new arts skills and techniques." Some changes I'm hoping for are patience when things don't come out like I want, perseverance while working on big projects, and improving in skill. I also want to learn new techniques on how to shape the clay, like how to make organic shapes with it. 10: "Regional artists build their capacity through professional development.". It might be hard to see a change like from black to white, especially with things like patience that you can't learn overnight, but I think it will be evident by the end of my instruction. I will be able to clearly see improvement in my pottery skills with Craig as an instructor, though. He will be able to teach me things I would otherwise have no way of learning.
