Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Our goal is to provide an exceptional musical experience for our audiences and for our community musicians. Increase local participation ? Selections aim to provide a challenge and a rich experience for skilled musicians without being out of reach for those with competence. The program includes broad orchestration and consideration of the piece's difficulty. We hope that 4 youth, and 2 adult strings students will participate. A local harp player hopes to participate for the first time. Amaze the audience with a stunning piano performance. Broaden geographical participation. We relied on past conductor Swanson's relationship with musicians to fill strings parts. We hope to continue and expand ringer service by providing a fulfilling musical experience. Raise the bar of excellence for our youth orchestra musicians. We will offer free tickets to our students and two adults and encourage them to attend the concert. Increase handicap participation with transportation through May Mobility. Our primary indicator of success is instant and tangible. There is an electric energy in the audience applause if they are moved by the performance. Verbal feedback is also very important. All concert programs will include survey forms and we will verbally request that the forms be filled out and left in the collection buckets at exit doors. Participation by local musicians and ringers is measured. We will know if we have succeeded if we don't need to pay travel expenses for Minneapolis based musicians. We can measure ISOP student participation because we print special tickets which are collected at the door. Our goal is 10 transported individuals using May Mobility. They offer free transportation to Grand Rapids area residents. May has5 automated vehicles wheelchair accessible vehicles. We will expand free tickets for wheelchair bound tickets from 2 to 6 (+ a caretaker) and provide a $5 priced ticket for nursing home residents. May mobility will provide numbers transported.
