ACHF Arts Access
The goal of the festival is to provide an opportunity for singers from around the region to learn something new about the world of choral arts from observing and training alongside other choirs. A tangential outcome is to broaden the public exposure to youth choir talent and passion through the festival's performance. The measurable outcome is accomplished through data collection from participating students about what they learned and participating directors about new teaching strategies and/or techniques they plan to apply to their own choir in the future. Through a period of intentional reflection and discussion as well as a written or digital survey, these questions/answers will be asked the end of the festival prior to the concert. As an outcome, getting an accurate measurement of an increase of public exposure is generally more difficult. Even so, we plan to be aware of ongoing community conversations about youth choir (in the media, on social media, and in person) directly following the event and how that reflects in our future enrollment numbers and overall performance attendance.
