Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Over the past several years, NSMA has made an increasing effort to focus on gender equity in selecting the artists we host. With the disparities still strong between men and women in the music industry, it's a key goal of ours to host talented female-identifying musicians who people might otherwise not hear here, Remarkable artists like Ann Reed, who are outspoken about gender issues, are important, valued voices for our community and the arts as a whole. Our short-term measurable outcome is that we will provide our community with a terrific night of music that resonates with them and broadens their awareness. Success will look like a nicely filled-out auditorium and enthusiastic reviews on audience surveys and in verbal responses. Our long-term measurable outcome is to continue fulfilling our mission to inspire lives and create community by offering exceptional diverse concerts. We will solicit feedback from our audience in the form of written surveys handed out to each concert attendee and collected after the performance. We will evaluate outcome through survey analysis, reviews in local and regional press and radio, and verbal and written feedback from audience members. Additional determination of success will come from an analysis of financial data based on number of tickets sold.
