ACHF Arts Education
2024 will provide opportunities to try new art forms, apply creative skills, provide hands-on art experiences in a health care facility, and socially connect with others through the arts. Social connections through the arts can have a positive effect on mental health for all ages. We will be providing employment opportunities for Minnesota artists. We hope to expand our Art in the Park offerings and experiences, identify the geographical reach of our programs and events, and provide opportunities to learn new, creative skills, gain knowledge, or change attitudes. We also want to provide arts opportunities to those with physical and mental health needs in a residential setting. We will compare our 2023 schedule of classes/attendance to 2024's schedule and attendance. We will survey how far participants are driving to attend the art class/workshop and how they heard about the event to guide marketing plans for future events, also comparing to last year's evaluation results. Surveys will also ask about skills learned. Completed artworks will be photographed and shared online with appropriate permissions. For those participating in long term care and assisted living classes, those unable to complete the paper survey will simply be asked whether they enjoyed the class. If able to respond, they will also be asked to verbally share a new skill or technique that they learned.
