Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

This project is the first step in growing our capacity to offer production services in a welcoming and validating environment that decreases the access gap. Rural and low-income artists and emerging creatives would have easier access to professional level recording and production services. Growing the capabilities of students and young adults in the field of audio and video production lays a foundation for future creatives to thrive in New London and this region. Easier access to affordable production services immediately levels the field for individual artists when applying for competitive funding that requires quality work samples. With artist permission, recorded content will be archived and accessible as a shareable library with the goal of making artists and their work more visible to other states and spheres. Participants will complete a survey to provide feedback about instruction, facilities and equipment, accessibility, and skills learned.
