Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

When the opportunity to have a city mural painted was presented, the community was excited to have the opportunity to have a visual art form on display. Silver Lake's residents fuel the town's activities through volunteerism, and the purpose of this project is to help preserve and portray the city's "Power of Volunteers" in the visual art form of an artistic mural. Young and old alike will be able to view the many aspects of their city that are "Powered by Volunteers" each time they pass by the mural. The hope is that the mural will give residents a sense of pride in their community and that by having the mural in a prominent outdoor location within the city, it can be a great reminder of how the residents came together once again to create this project. Once the mural is in place, the impact of it on current and future residents will be obtained through personal interactions with residents and visitors when they visit city hall or attend a city function.
