ACHF Arts Access
Our goals are: 1) Create and execute a robust marketing strategy led by an experienced marketing manager familiar with the North Shore arts community with the outcome of more of our neighbors and visitors along the North Shore from Duluth to Grand Marais learning about this project, the concert, and the writing workshop. We will send out a press release with the goal of having press in the Duluth News Tribune, the Cook County News Harold, and Community Based Public Radio while also utilizing the resources of Visit Cook County. We will work with a graphic designer to share this project more widely through fliers and on our social media platforms. 2) Partner with GLBTQ+ artists to offer an arts experience on the north shore that increases the diversity of visitors who visit Sugarloaf Cove and feel welcome here. Measurable Outcome: We hope to see 500 first time visitors who come to Sugarloaf Cove because of this project. We hope that 50% of those visitors identify GLBTQ+ and/or BIPOC. We will measure our success both qualitatively and quantitatively. When people check out the listening devices and headphones, they will be asked to answer a short questionnaire that will help us learn: If they are new/returning visitors to Sugarloaf Cove If they are local to the area or visitors Basic demographics including age, race, and how they identify if they wish to share Last year we welcomed 90 new visitors who came for ?The Seeker?. Through our marketing efforts, we hope to have 500 people come to either experience this project, the concert, and the writing workshop. After they come back from listening to the story, we will engage them in conversation about their experience with the project such as if: they feel moved to create change or action as it relates to climate change, if they feel more connected to this place after their experience. We have a guest book for people to write their reactions in and read other people's thoughts as a tool for exchange and connection.
