Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

This project gives local residents an opportunity to see their stories and histories come alive and share them with newcomers and visitors in a way that celebrates our eccentricities as a homogenized community with humor and joy. The radio theater production will focus on developing actors' skills in voice acting and foley art and will offer opportunities for audience participation. This project will result in an original play with an original music score written by local writer, and performed by local actors and musicians. It helps to establish a track record of consistent programming for in-person audiences and further increases our online viewership and our archive of podcast-able programs. We will know we've changed attitudes and behaviors when we review recordings of the audience and see an increase in participation.

Measurable Outcome(s)

We hoped to see a multifold impact, and we feel successful. We were happy with our turn out. Comments from both artists and attendees were positive. Artists were excited to work with us and reported reconnecting with people and getting new exposure. 75% of artists reported over 5 pieces sold. All but one of the artists plan to return in the future. 42% of the attendees reported that this was their first art tour, and 88% of our attendees plan to return to future art tours. We believe that the Tour did provide opportunities to foster the rebuilding of those connections within the community. We had huge success with our senior classes. One senior reported that they did not believe they could create art before the class.
