ACHF Arts Access
1: "Regional residents experience increased access to the arts via a reduction in geographic, cultural and/or physical barriers." The in depth look at the music will increase awareness and appreciation in a way more than just listening to it. Being able to ask questions of the musicians will add a new aspect to these events. It will also give access to different music genres that may not be something the audience is usually attending. 9: "Regional residents gain awareness and appreciation for a variety of artistic disciplines and mediums." The variety of musicians and styles will increase awareness in both the audience and the musicians who participate. We will actively invite young musicians to attend and hope they will look at their music in new ways and open their mind to new types of music as a result of these events. A podcast and recording of each session will be created and surveys of both the audience and the musicians will be saved. The question and answer part of the events will be noted also. Because this is more than just a concert, the surveys are more in depth than most. Participants will be encouraged to take notes and fill out the surveys during the event.
