Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

"Regional residents experience increased access to the arts via a reduction in geographic, cultural and/or physical barriers." The change we expect to see is that residents have another piece of art that is part of their environment, enriching their life. "Regional residents experience a change in knowledge, attitude, behavior or condition due to public art, arts festivals or arts events." The change we expect is that people from Madison feel like they have art representing who they are, and those who visit also feel a sense of peace and place from this art. One of the goals in this location was to give a peaceful presence next to the tank and flag area. This piece of art will help people gain a sense of what Madison is about, both honor and pride of the natural landscape. We will have been successful when we have a completed public art sculpture in Madison, MN. The results will be gathered from photographs of the completed project. We will present a survey to be completed at the end of the project, during the dedication. The feedback on the outcome of the project will be useful because it will inform the MAC committee on how to complete future public art projects.
