Buffer Cost Share 2018 - $5,000,000 the first year is for soil and water conservation districts for cost-sharing contracts with landowners or authorized agents to implement riparian buffers or alternative practices on public waters or public ditches consistent with Minnesota Statutes, section 103F.48. Of this amount, up to $2,500,000 may be targeted outside the 54-county Conservation Reserve Enhancement Area.
Buffer Cost Share grants provided funding to SWCDs for cost-sharing contracts with landowners to implement riparian buffers or alternative practices on public waters and public ditches consistent with Minnesota Statutes 103F.48. Grantee completed work under an approved work plan.
This project has resulted in an estimated annual reduction of 32.4 tons of Soil Loss.
