Public Television. $3,700,000 the first year and $3,700,000 the second year are for grants to the Minnesota Public Television Association for production and acquisition grants according to Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.18. In recognition of the sesquicentennial of the American Civil War, the Minnesota Public Television Association shall produce new programming on Minnesota history during that period. This appropriation is available for eligible costs incurred as of July 1, 2011, and does not expire until June 30, 2015.Minnesota Laws, 2012, Chapter 264, Article 5, Section 5COMMEMORATION PROGRAMMING; APPROPRIATION.$80,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2013 from the arts and cultural heritage fund to the commissioner of administration for grants to public broadcasting organizations to develop programming that commemorates the sesquicentennial. Of this appropriation, $50,000 is for grants to the Minnesota Public Television Association and $30,000 is for public radio grants.
