Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

This grant will allow me to attend a VIP opening and public opening for a major group show I was invited to where I will be able to meet other participating artists, attend an artist's talk, and participate in multiple scheduled activities. This would be an opportunity to get a better sense of the greater art world in other parts of the country and possibly lead to other collaborations and invitations to future exhibitions of my work. Successful attendance should provide new artist to artist relationships, gallery or museum relationships, and increased likelihood of acquisitions by new collectors. Conversations and understanding of the artworks on display give Jim Phillips Sr's career context.
