White Bear Center for the Arts will collaborate with photographic artist Wing Young Huie to work with 1,200 White Bear Lake Area High School–South Campus students in a residency that utilizes photography to develop cultural awareness.

Measurable Outcome(s)

White Bear Lake Area High School students gained experience and became more comfortable using the arts for self-expression. Students completed surveys about their experience with Huie, shared their responses as part of the exhibitions, and built a `wall of kindness` at the high school that reflected what they learned. 2: The project helped participants become aware of biases that are formed by media, social attitudes, and peer pressure.
