The primary goal of this project is to successfully stage an original play with an original score performed live for five dates the fall of 2015. We have audience attendance goals of an average of 100 people at each performance, and we also aim to entertain our audience and meet their expectations for an engaging arts experience. This project will be evaluated through ticket sales and audience attendance numbers at each performance and surveys of audience members included in the programs. Because of the emphasis of this project on supporting new creative endeavors by local artists, the artistic and musical director will each be expected to write a short reflection on the experience -- including how the process has influenced their careers, lessons learned, and suggestions for additional ways the Grand Rapids Players can nurture creativity within the community. The financial success of the project will be reflected in a balanced budget upon completion of the production.
