Sustainability of Programs and Facilities
Programs: $5,525,000 the first year and $5,675,000 the second year are for programs and purposes related to the historical and cultural heritage of the state of Minnesota, conducted by the Minnesota Historical Society.
Metrics play a central role in strategizing and prioritizing sustainability initiatives. The three primary measurable outcomes include (1) annual cost savings, (2) greenhouse gas emissions reductions from FY 2010 baseline levels, and (3) return on investment of sustainability initiatives. In FYs 14 and 15, the project will target $200,000 in cost savings, 20% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, and targeting return on investments of 10% or more. The project also maintains long-term goals. For FY 16 and beyond, the project is targeting $240,000 in annual savings from a long-term energy and water project, an additional 20% in greenhouse gas emissions reductions, and return on investment rates of 5% or more.
