Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Create new work uniting art and ecology, get professional help and documentation for a new portfolio, and learn about publishing opportunities. The completed work has resulted in a new portfolio, exhibition and possible publication, has creatively expanded my artwork, has positively affected my career through learning new market and publishing skills, and created contacts and opportunities. 2: Reach a family, outdoors-oriented audience via an exhibition, revised website, and possible publication, and provide engaging didactic information. The work was able to reach a nature and outdoors-oriented family audience that normally does not attend arts events, reflected in attendance at the exhibition, interest in the published work, the online presence, and other outreach opportunities.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Over 26 new pieces with informational labels on the ecology depicted; exhibition with over 800 visitors; extensive media coverage; and opportunities for commissions and traveling exhibition. 2: Exhibition reached outdoors oriented audience, as evidenced by gallery and online comments; worked with two professional writers, one of which is a well-known exhibition and natural history author to create informational labels; exhibition will be traveling.
