ACHF Arts Access
The goals of this project will be measured by the increased membership of the Winsted Arts Council and the increased demand for the activities that we offer. Because we are in our infancy, as we grow and offer more opportunities, our reputation for quality programming will be developed. We will measure our impact through the increased membership numbers in our organization, the number of people participating in the activities, and the number of people participating in the classes that we offer.
Over 1,300 people were impacted by this work. We have increased our membership by 50%. Our membership drive was not only a sold-out event, it created a magnificent buzz around town because the event in itself showcased the amazing talent that the community has grown. It was a concert that brought together a variety of styles from 12 artists that grew up in Winsted. We were able to bring the international Irish folk group 'Dervish' to our small town for a concert right around St. Patrick's Day! It was so amazing to see the ballroom packed with people from as far as 40 miles away on a Wednesday night - and a crowd that doesn't usually come out to concerts! Our summer art camp has seeded the desire for an after school art club. We are seeing that these programs are the building blocks of our future.
