ACHF Arts Access
Artists and arts organizations build relationships with members of, or organizations that serve, groups that have traditionally been underserved by the arts or by the applicant organization. Anecdotal responses, contacts made, relationships built, ideas generated.
The event was able to expand my knowledge of what is happening for other towns/communities in the field of art. I felt inspired that our work is indeed important and can reach all for the improvement of our quality of life. Also I gained some great contacts and enjoyed the networking. I have already done a brief report to the Greater Milan Initiative board and the Milan Village Arts School board. I will be involved with a project that will involve the exchange of “bowls” of friendship that will connect the Milan area through the Milan Village Arts School and the Morris Area, through the Morris Arts Alliance. Hoping for more awareness of what is happening in each community. I have also started the wheels rolling for meeting to applying for some grants for our community that I learned about through the summit.
