Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

We will create at least 4 bands using local youth, many who do not involve themselves in extracurricular activities. Teach students what it takes to “be in a band” including musicianship, technical and business skills. Encourage participation in music and recognize the importance of all styles of music for young musicians.We will evaluate the concert by asking for feedback from the artists, the audience and the volunteers. The campers each do an evaluation. Each year some of the participants sign up for lessons after the camp and many of the campers return each year which also helps us to see the camp is successful. We will measure the involvement by number of students involved; number of parents involved; amount of hours put in by each band.
