Lake of the Woods Art Guild will apply for 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. We will also provide studio space and an art gallery for area artists to show and market their work.Lake of the Woods Art Guild will track the number of artists who use the studio space and will provide surveys for the artists to offer suggestions. Gallery attendance will also be tracked and surveys will be provided. 90% of respondents will offer positive comments.
Emerging and established artists are utilizing the studio space at the new location, but a local gallery was not feasible in this location. The application for the 501c3 non-profit status has been submitted and is pending The eight artists who use the studios were surveyed and they reported that they are becoming more productive because of the studio space but that more improvements are needed to make the space more usable.
